DO YOU BELIEVE IN MAGIC?
Top Story:

There's an old mansion in the Hollywood Hills called the Magic Castle. It is a private club for magicians. I was lucky enough to get an invitation (Thanks Rob!). If you are into magic, like me, this place is awesome! Some of the greatest magicians of all time have hung out there and they say that every Halloween the ghost of Harry Houdini roams the castle floors....

Speaking of ghosts, I did get to meet Irma. She is one of the ghosts that actually lives at the magic castle. She died in 1932, but her spirit returned to the mansion where she likes to play the piano for all the guests. You can request just about any song and she can play it! My Dad even requested Bohemian Rhapsody and she knew it. Irma was cool, but remember, please don't sit on Irma, she is a proper lady of course.

I got to see five different magicians perform. I even got to assist on a few tricks. My favorite had to be when I helped Magic Steve rip up some paper napkins, then he put all the pieces in his mouth and chewed them

up. When he opened his mouth again, out came hundreds of feet of twisted, colored streamers! I still don't know how he did it!

I can't wait until I am thirteen, then I can become a member.

Until then I'll keep working on my levitation.

Oooooooooooooooo! Scary!

Soaring over Catalina!

Have you ever wondered what it's like to fly through the sky like a bird? Or float through the air without the use of Pixie Dust?

Well, I got my chance last month when we went to Catalina Island. My dad really wanted to go Para-Sailing, but he's a little afraid of heights so to make him feel safer, I said I would go with him.

In case you don't know, Para-Sailing is when you wear a parachute that is connected to a long rope and you are pulled along by a speeding boat. It's like flying a kite except YOU are the kite!

It was cool floating 300 hundred feet above the Pacific Ocean. It felt like I was just sitting on a swing relaxing. The boat ride was very windy and cold, but way up in the air there was no wind at all. It was so peaceful.

While we were there, I also went kayaking and snorkeling. I loved it and can't wait to try it again!

CATALINA FACTS:
Catalina Island is 22 miles off the coast of Southern California. It was discovered in 1542 by Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo. The island was once a haven for smugglers and Pirates!

Extra:

Look up in the sky! It's a bird, it's a plane, wait, no....

It's Grace!!

Dad and Grace soar through the Southern California Sky!
